Retractable Window Screens & Mosquito Nets
Retractable window screens that work as mosquito nets for windows, custom-fit to each window. An alternative to mosquito curtains for windows and fixed-frame window screens. They roll out of sight when not in use, so your view stays clear.

Features & Benefits
How Retractable Window Screens Work
Retractable window screens give you fresh air without a permanent screen in front of the glass. The mesh is stored on a spring-loaded roller inside a slim housing mounted to the window frame. Pull the bar down or across to close the screen. Release it and the mesh rolls back into the housing.
We mount the screens on the interior, so they don't change how your windows open. You can still fully open a slider or crank out a casement, then pull the screen across when you want the window open without the bugs.
When the screen is retracted, the glass is clear. That matters on windows with a view, and on windows you only open a few weeks a year.
What to Consider for Your Windows
Window type. Casement, sliding, double-hung, and UPVC windows can all take a retractable screen. On crank-out casements we check that the handle and operator hardware clear the screen.
Horizontal or vertical. A vertical screen pulls down like a shade. A horizontal screen pulls across like a small door. The shape of the window and the space around it decide which works better.
Frame and sill depth. The housing mounts to the window frame on the interior. We check the depth and flatness of the frame and sill so the screen sits cleanly.
Blinds and shutters. Interior window coverings share the same space. We measure so your blinds, shades, or shutters still open and close.
Children and safety. Insect screens of any kind are not designed to stop a child or pet from falling. Use proper window guards or stops where that is a concern.
Many homeowners screen windows and doors in the same project. Pair your windows with our retractable screen doors, French door screens, or sliding patio door screens so the frame colors match.
Window Screen Options Compared
If you are comparing mosquito nets for windows, these are the three options you will run into most.
Mosquito curtains and magnetic nets
Where it works
Very cheap and easy to put up with velcro or adhesive strips. Fine for a quick fix in a spare room.
Where it falls short
The fabric covers the window full-time, the velcro or adhesive tends to let go, and gaps along the edges let insects in.
Fixed or detachable screens
Where it works
Simple, cheap, and good at keeping bugs out once they are in place.
Where it falls short
They block part of your view all year and collect dust. Removable screens get lost or bent in storage.
Retractable window screens
Where it works
Custom-fit with a frame, mounted on the interior, and rolled out of sight when you don't need them. Your windows open and close as usual.
Where it falls short
Costs more than a curtain or a stock screen and needs professional measuring and installation. Very small or oddly shaped windows may need a custom approach.
