Question 1

Do you custom-measure every door?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely. Every installation begins with a precise in-home measurement. Our technicians measure your openings to 1/16" accuracy to ensure a perfect custom fit. This is one of the main advantages of professional installation over off-the-shelf options.

Question 2

How long does installation take?

Accepted Answer

A single door screen installation typically takes 30-45 minutes. Double or French door screens take about 45-60 minutes. We schedule installation at a time convenient for you and always clean up after ourselves.

Question 3

What does the installation process look like?

Accepted Answer

After your free consultation and measurement, your screens are built to the measurements we took. On installation day, a technician installs your screens, tests that they open and close smoothly, and cleans up before leaving.

Question 4

Are the screens removable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. While our screens are designed for permanent installation, they can be removed if needed. The screen mesh itself retracts into the housing when not in use, disappearing completely from view.

Question 5

Do retractable screens work with pets?

Accepted Answer

We offer pet-resistant mesh options that are more durable than standard mesh. This stronger material resists scratches and tears from pets. Let us know during your consultation if you have pets, and we'll recommend the best solution.

Question 6

What door types are supported?

Accepted Answer

We install retractable screens for virtually any door type: single doors (in-swing or out-swing), double/French doors, sliding patio doors, and windows. If you're unsure about your specific door, just ask during your free consultation.

Question 7

What frame colors are available?

Accepted Answer

We offer a range of frame colors including white, tan/almond, bronze, brown, and black. so the frame can match your existing door frame or trim.

Question 8

Are retractable screens better than mosquito net doors?

Accepted Answer

Retractable screen doors are a significant upgrade over traditional mosquito net doors, magnetic mosquito door curtains, and rolling mosquito nets. They retract completely when not in use, provide a secure magnetic seal, are custom-fitted to your exact door dimensions, and are professionally installed for a permanent, clean look.

Question 9

Do you install mosquito nets for windows?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our retractable window screens work as mosquito nets for windows. Unlike traditional mosquito curtains for windows, magnetic mosquito nets, or detachable window screens, our retractable screens are custom-fit with frames and disappear completely when not needed.

Question 10

What are the best retractable screen doors for French doors?

Accepted Answer

Our double retractable screen doors are the best solution for French doors. Two panels meet in the center with a magnetic seal, providing full coverage while retracting completely into discrete housings on each side. They're far superior to sliding screens for French doors or mosquito curtains.

Question 11

Can you install motorized retractable screens?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We install custom motorized exterior screens for garages, porches, lanais, patios and other large openings, operated with a handheld remote. They fit openings from 3 to 21 feet wide and 3 to 14 feet tall, and come with a 5-year warranty. Our door and window retractable screens are manual, with speed reducers for gentle retraction.
